locandina bozarks

“Bozarks” is a term historically used to denote female fighters. In this performance, presented in the Correspondance 2.2 exhibition, the duo engages in a physical contest, a ritualised punch-up, where the audience is invited to wager on the outcome and, specifically, on who will succeed in removing the opponent’s mask. This dynamic creates a charged atmosphere where the public’s investment in the violence of the struggle fuels the performers’ energy, intensifying their impetus and aggression. Here, the artists’ bodies are mobilised not only as a physical presence but as a site where social dynamics are enacted and negotiated. Through this interplay, the performance illuminates the fragile boundaries between control and surrender, inviting reflection on how agency is performed and perceived within the space of live art.
