The workshop Dolce desiderare (Sweet Desiring) interrogates desire and pleasure through the collective preparation of sweets inspired by the Pupa and, more broadly, by the female form it evokes and reiterates. By drawing on and deconstructing our shared memory of sweets, shaped by symbols deeply embedded in both collective imaginaries and familial traditions, participants are invited to question inherited forms and meanings. Also, the title hints to the ambiguity of the notion of sweet, understood not only as a flavour and a culinary practice, but also as a cultural category loaded with affective, gendered, and normative expectations. Through this process of reworking and reinvention, they are encouraged to create new shapes and symbols, opening up alternative ways of desiring and generating new interpretations and experiences of pleasure.
