Cinque Dispositivi in Uno(Five Devices in One) is presented as part of Grossi Maglioni’s firstretrospective exhibition, in dialogue with later projectsOccupazioniandLo Sguardo che Offende,addressing themes like the limit, relationality, and the body as instrument and weapon. In theroom dedicated to their research on magic and illusion, the artists recreated the spirit cabinetoriginally conceived for the performanceDo Spirits Return?(2009), both a sculpturalreconstruction and a performative residue through which the ephemeral nature of past actions canbe re-experienced. The reactivation also includes a live intervention by the music duoAcchiappashpirt,whose practice blends noise, contemporary music, and avant-garde poetry. Theirperformance, developed in relation its surrounding context, enhances the auditory aspect of theoriginal piece, invoking voices, energies, and echoes from beyond the visible.
