Sono un unico pianeta sentire(One planet, sensing)is amultimediainstallation comprising of avideo, soundand a germinating plateau.Stemming from the broader research projectBeastMother, the installation sees Grossi Maglioni expand their exploration of the maternal body,drawing, among other sources, from the animal and plant worlds. The plateau, composed ofdiverse materials, invites visitors to recline, examining horizontality as botha physical posture anda political position, as a space of rest and a means of reconfiguring hierarchies, contemplating careand interspecies relationships.Groups of seedlings form various words, including the wordsMOT(word) andHER,whichevokesymbolic and linguistic resonances.The soundscape features alullaby for a growing seed, composed with musician Eva Geist, the text of which was performed ina live reading during the exhibition.Sono un unico pianeta sentirewas first exhibited as partof IlGiardino Libernautico at Fondazione Baruchello, Rome.
