A workshop exploring representations of the Beast Mother, conceived for mother-child duos. After reading the story of Occupazioni, participating children, in collaboration with their mothers, were invited to reflect on the notion of the Beast Mother and themes of separation and reunion. This process culminated in the creation of costumes that endowed their mothers with fantastical and bestial traits. A dedicated photo set provided a space for participants to stage and embody their relationship, capturing the interplay between transformation and intimacy through the costumes they had crafted together. The workshop was held at Pastrufazio bookshop, Bari (2022) and Fondazione Smart, Rome (2022). An early iteration was first developed at Studio di Psicologia Orme in 2017.
